Schools & Children: Caught in the Transgender Industry's Web

As transgender activists like Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, GLSEN, Gender Spectrum, and others push more and more radical sexualization indoctrination on younger and younger children, it’s imperative that parents and other decision-makers about children’s education understand what is happening to their children at school.

SCHOOLS


Schools are ground-zero for the explosive phenomenon of transgender identification among children, and are central to a deeply enmeshed and interconnected network referred to as the transgender industry. What may have begun via universities’ gender studies programs[ii], and academia’s theoretical philosophizing about whether sex is real or a social construct, has now taken root in the public school, from pre-kindergarten through high school graduation. The transgender industry is preying upon children out of unfettered greed, and for political gain. Let’s take a look at how this industry has woven its web around our children at school.


What exactly is happening in the public schools today with respect to transgender indoctrination? Besides hallways filled with marketing material for sex and gender propaganda, and a calendar replete each month of the year with special days celebrating manufactured holidays like Transgender Day of Awareness and Coming-Out Day, many schools are also inserting transgender training into every class and activity they possibly can,[iii] including the formation of clubs specifically designed for recruitment and dissemination of activist material.


GSA CLUBS


Gender-Sexuality Allies (or GSA) clubs are touted as support groups for LGB & TQ kids, but they are actually boots-on-the-ground for indoctrinating kids into transgender ideology. Promoted and funded by the National Education Association, Planned Parenthood, and the Human Rights Campaign, these clubs are central to the cult strategy of pulling kids into gender ideology via recruitment, love-bombing, and inculcation of the beliefs and behaviors demanded by the gender industry. In fact, groups like these receive enormous grants from funds like the Tawani Foundation[iv] to establish so-called “health clinics” inside schools, and to recruit kids for the transgender industry. The Tawani Foundation was created by transgender-identified billionaire Jennifer (née James) Pritzker, whose family also has financial investments in pharmaceuticals.[v],[vi]


What do GSA clubs do? According to the GSA Club Advisor Handbook[vii], “GSA Network is a next-generation LGBTQ+ racial and gender justice organization that empowers and trains trans, queer, and allied youth leaders to advocate, organize, and mobilize an intersectional movement…”


But GSA clubs are not a grassroots movement; rather, they are an AstroTurf movement, which means that they are promulgated by money and activism while being deceptively touted as bottom-up organizations. GSA club sponsors also know very well that they’re targeting vulnerable kids. Lisa Avery, a teacher in California, was caught on video telling teachers that they, “poached [their GSA club leaders] from the counseling office.”[viii],[ix]


The National Education Association, or NEA, is so committed to indoctrinating kids into gender ideology that it offers financial incentives for teachers and counselors who do so. Rebecca Friedrichs, a 28-year veteran teacher, describes NEA conferences promoting GSA formation. “If you agreed to start a [GSA]… you could get big money.”[x],[xi]


NEA


Not only does the NEA drive the creation of GSA clubs, it also advocates for Peer-Led Sex Ed[xii], in which kids teach other kids about sex and gender. Peer-Led Sex Ed is simply the business world’s Peer-to-Peer Sales marketing strategy, co-opted by schools for grooming children into transgender ideology.


The Peer-to-Peer Sales strategy capitalizes on social connections to pressure people to buy things they otherwise might not want. When you’ve been invited to someone’s home and provided drinks and appetizers, you feel guilty if you don’t purchase anything that the hostess is selling, especially if everyone else is buying. The same peer-pressure technique is employed by Peer-Led Sex Ed. When a high school junior comes to the freshman health class by invitation of the teacher in order to teach about sexuality and gender, none of the younger students would dare say they disagree with the propaganda being taught.[xiii]


According to Americans for Fair Treatment, “NEA helped write and continues to advocate for sexual education standards[xiv] that encourage public school teachers to discuss gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation with children, despite parental concerns that these discussions are often more ideological than educational.”[xv]


ASCA


Another school organization, the American School Counselor Association, tells school counselors to deceive parents about their children’s sex and gender presentation, if the child so wishes. No age guidelines are noted, but this guidance is for counselors in schools from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. “Transgender and gender-nonconforming students have the right to decide when, with whom and to what extent to share private information. When contacting the parent/guardian of a transgender or gender-nonconforming student, school staff should use the student’s legal name and the pronoun corresponding to the student’s assigned sex at birth, unless the student or parent/guardian has specified otherwise.”[xvi] Note that the parent/guardian would not be able to specify otherwise unless their child had first done so.


But where has all of this sex and gender material that’s being taught in schools come from?

It’s being churned out, in large part, by activist groups like Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign’s Welcoming Schools organization, the Trevor Project, and GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network.[xvii]


BOOKS & CURRICULA


Per our understanding from speaking to concerned school librarians, well-funded LGB & TQ activism groups have sent boxes upon boxes of transgender-themed books to school libraries and classrooms, as educational “gifts.” These organizations have worked strategically and tirelessly to push their agendas into schools. Funneling sexuality and gender identity literature into students’ backpacks is at the forefront of their goal to train children that any form of sexual imagination and any feeling one may have about his or her personhood is valid and should be enthusiastically explored. Librarians also tell us that the catalogs from which they select books are now replete with gay and trans content, and these sex- and gender-themed books are lauded, awarded, and loaded at the front of the catalogs.[xviii]


Planned Parenthood[xix], Welcoming Schools[xx], GLSEN[xxi], and other transgender-rights organizations create slick, professional-looking lesson plans around sex and gender, complete with handouts, activities, and slides, then offer them to schools and teachers for free.[xxii] The 109 -page Comprehensive Sex Education[xxiii] manual from the Sexuality Information & Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) promotes pornography, abortion, hiding sexual activities from parents, and practicing unhealthy behaviors like anal sex. By promoting Comprehensive Sex Ed, Planned Parenthood creates for itself a stream of customers for birth control, abortion, care for sexually-transmitted diseases, and of course puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.


A school counselor in Arlington, VA, explains: “I am concerned about the appropriateness of subject matter presented to various developmental levels. As an example, I am aware of an assembly directed to 11- and 12-year-olds that was offered by APS high school students speaking on the subject of their personal gender identity journeys. Their personal stories included being bullied by fellow students and significant levels of emotional distress. The developmental level of the hearers was too young to sort out the pathos of the stories from the subtext that gender is fluid and subject to change. De-facto, the assembly functioned as a type of indoctrination. I don't believe that indoctrination was the intention of the organizers of the event but the audience was not developmentally prepared to sort out what they were hearing.”[xxiv]


SIECUS funds and manages the Future of Sex Education[xxv] project, whose National Sexuality Education Standards[xxvi] and National Teacher Preparation Standards[xxvii] influence policy-makers and educators alike.


GLSEN’s Model School District Policy on Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming Students[xxviii] is being pushed into every school district and every sector of public life around the globe. As transgender activists like Planned Parenthood[xxix], the Human Rights Campaign Foundation[xxx], GLSEN[xxxi], Gender Spectrum[xxxii], and others push more and more radical sexualization indoctrination[xxxiii] on younger and younger children, it’s imperative that parents and other decision-makers about children’s education understand what is happening to their children at school.[xxxiv]


PARENT FORCED TO AFFIRM


Nearly if not all parents who have consulted an “expert”—a principal, school counselor, pediatrician, or therapist—after a child announces a transgender identity, have heard the same emotionally manipulative slogan: “Do you want a dead son (daughter) or a live daughter (son)?” Parents are pressured to participate in the affirmation-only dictum with threats of their child’s impending suicide[xxxv], should the child be questioned about his/her belief about gender/sex. There is no data to prop up the claim that affirmation-only is the best response to a trans-identified child.


The World Professional Association for Transgender Health’s Standards of Care are being updated at the time of this publication. Although their current Standards of Care guide states that gender “dysphoria persisted into adulthood for only 6–23% of children,”[xxxvi] organizations such as the American Psychological Association[xxxvii] and the American Academy of Pediatrics[xxxviii] still force affirmation-only on families whose children announce a transgender identity. Affirmation-only means that the child is put on an immediate path toward medicalization, and parents who do not agree to medicalize their children are deemed “unsupportive,” “bigoted,” “transphobic,” “hateful,” and so forth.


The so-called “research study” that purports to undergird the suicidality argument is merely a survey[xxxix], created and administered by the Human Rights Campaign (the funding and lobby arm of the LGBTQ business) of 12,005 self-identified LGB & TQ children, ages 13-17. The respondents are overwhelmingly white (77%), and all volunteered to take the survey and were recruited from pro-transgender, community-based organizations. Reported results do not appear to distinguish between the responses of children who identify as homosexual and those who identify as transgender (two very different populations), with respect to suicidality. The survey reflects teens’ self-reported feelings and perceptions as they reflect back upon their childhood experiences; it does not capture real-world data about numbers of suicides or attempted suicides and is not verifiable. For that reason, it is both an unreliable record of facts and an unreliable predictor of behavior.


Affirmation-only is a strategy demanded by people and organizations with political and financial incentives[xl] to drive children toward life-long medicalization. In fact, much robust research[xli] points to the positive outcomes of exactly the opposite policy: watchful waiting.[xlii]


The World Professional Association on Transgender Health states in its Standards of Care guidelines[xliii] that 73-94% of children will align with their birth sex if allowed to pass through puberty naturally, without medical interventions like puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or sex-reassignment surgery. Even social transition (presenting as and being affirmed by others in the preferred gender identity) results in increased persistence of the transgender narrative. As Dr. Ken Zucker explains: “parents who support, implement, or encourage a gender social transition (and clinicians who recommend one) are implementing a psychosocial treatment that will increase the odds of long-term persistence.”[xliv]


SOCIAL MEDIA


A parent of a desisted child summed up social media’s influence on her daughter’s transgender identification. “I truly believe social media is to blame for this. My daughter was told that if she didn’t fit into the stereotypical girl mold, she was a boy.”[xlv] Social media gender influencers and self-styled “glitter-moms” tell kids to ditch their own families and come hook up with them.[xlvi]


Every social media platform we know of hosts transgender influencers, often adult men like Munroe Bergdorf, who claim to be women, and who invite children to contact them behind their parents’ backs.[xlvii] Kids are encouraged to come out as trans. Says one young woman who has since detransitioned, “Tumblr was ecstatic … congratulations, encouragement, and support was sent my way—something that girl-me never got for being exactly the same as boy-me, save having a different name and pronouns. [My] mannerisms and appearance, which had previously [made me different from others] … and my ‘bravery’ [were] applauded by all the people I looked up to online and friends in real life.”[xlviii]


Cosmetic surgeons advertise double mastectomies to children on TikTok and Instagram, calling these butchering surgeries nicknames like “Top Surgery”, “Teetus Deletus”, and “Yeet the Teets.”


According to Alix Aharon, the GenderMapper, “In 2016 the Founder of Tumblr, Karph, joined the board of Planned Parenthood and ran an immediate campaign with the duplicitous hashtag #techstandswithpp.[xlix] This was the first major collaboration between Big Tech and Big Gender- a marriage made in hell.”[l]


The Social Dilemma describes social media’s manipulation of kids: “We’ve created a world in which online connection has become primary, especially for younger generations. And yet in that world anytime two people connect, the only time it’s financed is through a sneaky third person who’s paying to manipulate those two people. So we’ve created an entire global generation of people who are raised within a context where the very meaning of communication, the very meaning of culture, is manipulation. We’ve put deceit and sneakiness at the absolute center of everything we do.”[li] And the trans gender industry has taken full advantage of this phenomenon by selling gender to kids on social media, and kids don’t even know they’re being manipulated.


The mainstream media is just as problematic as social media when it comes to propagation of transgender ideology. They use inaccurate pronouns, referring to men as “she” and women as “he,” and insert bias in their reporting of news around transgender activism, casting transgender-rights activists as civil rights heroes while casting those with concerns as bigots, haters, and -phobes. For these and other examples of poor reporting of facts and information about the transgender industry, the mainstream media is also culpable for harms against children. But as the mainstream media does not directly influence schools by way of activism or legislation, we have chosen to leave them off this transgender industry map.


PORN


The porn industry has exploded via the internet and social media. Visits to Porn Hub alone exceed 100 million views daily, and 63,992 new visitors come to the site each day.[lii]

ACLU president Nadine Strossen defends the porn industry as “free speech”.[liii] Quoted here in the Whitman Wire, “Strossen expressed her disappointment of the Communications Decency Act (CDA) passed by Clinton in 1996, which purports to protect minors from exposure to indecent materials by preventing its display online. “Free speech is essential to women’s rights,” Strossen stated, labeling the CDA a “Victorian-era relic.”


Incidentally, Pritzker’s Tawani Foundation also made a $101,000 donation to the ACLU to help fight so-called “anti-trans laws,” which include things like keeping biological men out of women’s sports.[liv]


Alix Aharon, the GenderMapper, explains, “Many … who appear on PornHub are using the site to generate popularity for other sites where they can monetize better. On pornhub, the "performer" either gets paid from the production company (who gets paid by pornhub for the content), or they get paid for every X number of views. If a performer can gather a fan base from PornHub, then they can use that to encourage their ‘fans’ to go to their private snap chat or their only fans, where they can make more money selling their sex content…. ‘Prostitution is just something that many transgender people do,’ one doctor said to a mother of a trans-identified prostituted woman in Sweden. Joanna Olson-Kennedy boasts that 30% of her clients come from so-called "sex work".[lv]


BIG PHARMA


Which brings us to the trifecta of greed and predation: Big Pharma, Gender Clinics, & Cosmetic Surgeons.


Gender clinics are popping up like weeds in cities across the country and the world. The U.K. alone has seen a greater than 5,000% increase in the number of girls presenting at the Tavistock gender clinic in less than a decade.[lvi] These clinics work to advance the lie that elective cosmetic interventions for gender dysphoric people are medically necessary, despite overwhelming evidence from detransitioners as well as peer-reviewed research that people are worse off following medicalization than they were before.[lvii]


Google “sex reassignment market report” and page after page of market research companies forecast sex change surgery to be a 1.5-billion-dollar industry by 2026. If, as the transgender industry likes to claim, transgender people are “born this way,”[lviii] then only a finite number of people (historically 0.7% of the population) would ever pursue SRS at all. Therefore, SRS can only become a growth market if individuals and institutions with a financial interest in it actively generate greater demand for it than exists in reality.[lix] And that’s exactly what’s happening.


Jennifer Bilek has done outstanding investigative work in her article “Who Owns Big Pharma and the Billionaires Invested in the Gender Industry?” She explains, “We must look at what “gender identity” accomplishes in the world to understand this and why the largest banks and investment houses in the world have any interest in a tiny minorities identity issues. ‘Gender identity’ does double duty. First, it opens markets in sexual identity. Without it, the already massively profitable corporate identities[lx] created out of same-sex attraction could not be expanded. Without violating the boundaries of male and female, all that exist are lesbian, bisexual, gay, and straight people as a marketing constituency. Add ‘gender identity’ which provides an illusion of changing sex, placing it on a spectrum, and the marketing constituency expands infinitely. As ‘gender’ ideologists are fond of reporting, there are as many genders as there are people. Any marketing graduate can tell you that to hone your message to smaller and smaller, more distinct groups, is a recipe for success. Not only are medical identities profitable in this equation, but profits soar for everyone.”[lxi]


POLICIES


The transgender lobby has been thoroughly Machiavellian at getting its preferred guidance — with little-to-no research or empirical evidence backing it up — accepted and promulgated by the American Pediatric Society[lxii], the American Psychological Association[lxiii], the American School Counselor Association[lxiv], and the National Education Association[lxv].

One frequently finds, as is the case with the 37-person group who wrote (without input from the other 67,000 member doctors) the American Academy of Pediatrics’ transgender guidance document[lxvi], that the team leads, Jason Rafferty and Robert Garofalo, have financial ties to some of the gender clinics[lxvii] that have sprung up like dandelions around the country over the last few years.


While some in the transgender-rights lobby believe, as do some parents of trans-identified kids, that their pushes for transgender ideology are in the best interests of children, other players are reacting to perverse incentives, such as in education, health care, and entertainment.[lxviii]


UNITED NATIONS


On a global level, we see the United Nations and its related organizations pushing gender ideology into every corner of the world.


UNESCO (the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization)[lxix] promotes education for all, cultural development, protection of the world’s natural and cultural heritage, international cooperation in science, press freedom and communication. UNESCO’s Model School District Policy on Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming Students is boilerplated from the GLSEN Model School District Policy on Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming Students, even sharing the same title.


“UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.”[lxx] But UNICEF is funneling pornography into school curricula, sexualizing children at the earliest ages possible.[lxxi],[lxxii],[lxxiii]


What is the United Nations doing with respect to transgender issues and policies?[lxxiv] It’s creating policies that prevent anyone from disagreeing with anything that the transgender industry wants, in order to create lifelong medical patients out of as many people as possible. Among other things, the U.N. incorporates homophobia and transphobia as aggravating factors in laws against hate crime and hate speech, and substitutes “gender identity” for “sex,” removing all women’s protections and rights.


But what is “transphobia?” What does it mean to discriminate against people on the basis of their gender identity or expression? These terms are never defined, but such policies are being used to allow men into women’s spaces, because to refuse them entrée is supposedly “discrimination.”


CONCLUSION


Schools are at the center of the transgender industry’s web of lies, propaganda, and predation. Transgender-rights policies, which serve the financial and political interests of billionaires and corporations, are being pushed down from the highest levels of government, nationally and internationally. No school which takes federal funds is free of this ideological indoctrination.
